When a group of friends got together in 2005 to perform some of their original material,
headlining Katoomba’s Winter Magic Festival, they brought with them a mix of musical influences so diverse many wondered how this combination could possibly work. But it did. Within the year Jumbledat was a household name across the Blue Mountains, where the band’s appearances at Triselies Nightclub became highly anticipated sell-out concerts.

With the release of their self-titled EP (recorded & mixed by Hermitude’s El Gusto) Jumbledat’s infectious on-stage enthusiasm, inspiring lyrics and eclectic sound of hip hop, jazz, Latin and funk, quickly attracted crowds at numerous venues in Sydney and Canberra, including the Macquarie Hotel, Transit Bar and Oxford Arts Factory, as well as an unforgettable performance bringing elated fans into 2008 at last year’s High and Dry Festival.

Produced by film-makers Alasdair Hamilton and Maisy Cohen, Jumbledat have recently completed a music video of their track Momentus. “It’s really been a great ride so far” says MC and percussionist Perrin Moss. “Right now we’re rehearsing fresh material, then we’ll be setting off on tour to get in front of new audiences, live, where we belong.”
