February 22nd, 2009 - Katie Roberts

Katie was living on the Central Coast giving singing lessons and through the daughter of a friend found out that some places have regular nights when new talent have a chance to show their stuff. All you need is your sheet music to hand to the house band. So she gave it a go and got a favourable response and it just took off from there.
Since then Katie has relocated to Windsor and has settled in nicely.
She found out about the “The Royal Exchange Hotel”. The owner, Paul Kirk, hosts a jam night their on Monday nights and that has been a great starting point for her. Katie sings mostly country and 80’s rock but her taste in music is very wide from classical to the latest pop releases. There are some artists that she listens to consistently over the years like Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and Meatloaf. But she also likes Matchbox 20, Sugarland, Dixie Chicks, Leona Lewis, Good Charlotte and many others.
