Turnpage are a three piece rock band from Sydney. Their music boasts the versatility of Goliath-like riffs and moody ballads. Mix that in with a unique melody and songwriting style and Turnpage are a band truly of their own. The band has been building a steady fan base since 2006, and has recently released their debut EP, The Riverbed Cinematic. The guys are ready to set a platform by which they will take the Indie music scene by storm this year. The group found its origins from the ashes of a previous band which Jimmy (Lead Vocals, Guitar), and Allan (Backing Vocals, Bass) were in. Having met Andre (Drums) through a mutual friend, they wasted no time in getting to work. The chemistry was immediate, and i think we all feel we are part of something special that we are prepared to take all the way, explains Jimmy. Since forming, the band has been perpetually increasing in pace, having already played over 30 different venues across Sydney including Excelsior Surry Hills, Bar Broadway, and the Hopetoun. They have also had the honour of playing support for Grant Walmsely of The Screaming Jets at the Fitzroy Hotel, a venue which they are now the resident band in. This band has some of the most dedicated musicians i have worked with recently, says Russell of Damien Gerard Studios, who recorded the bands EP. They have a maturity of songwriting and work ethic that extends beyond their years, I had a lot of fun working with these guys. With a debut EP under their belts, there is no telling just how much this young band will achieve with their vibrant brand of rock. Watch this space!

Dean Carroll Earthworker - 23, is an aspiring local performing musician returning from his inspiring walkabout journey across this beautiful red land. Currently Dean is touring his soul inspiring performances across Australia to complete the writings of his debut album - Seeds of Light. Full of acoustic and percussive treats and with an abundance of positive feedback on the road, Dean is returning from walkabout to showcase his debut album live from top to finish. Supporting him on the night will be the lovely Caitlin Harnett and Scenes from a Train.
2009 looks set to be a busy year for Sydney Singer/Songwriter Caitlin Harnett. Caitlin released her debut EP Tiny Spark which was recorded with Matt Fell at Love Hz Studios. The independently released EP features five beautifully crafted original songs and a lilting version of the June Carter and Johnny Cash classic Jackson.
Caitlin is just 19 years old, but the maturity and credibility of her songwriting has quickly captured the attention of audiences and music industry insiders. Following on from her Young Songwriters Award at the Apollo Bay Music Festival and grand final appearance in the Telstra Road to Tamworth, the young artist has been signed to a publishing deal with Mushroom Music Publishing.
The EP has achieved some great success with all 5 original songs being used in prime time Australian television programs and another song will soon feature in an upcoming Australian movie. Earlier this year Caitlin was shortlisted for the prestigious APRA Professional Development Awards and was selected to perform at the Port Fairy Folk Festival for the first time.
Caitlin has a natural stage presence that draws you in and a beautiful voice that compels you to listen. Her performances reveal a wisdom and warmth that belies her youth. Hard to categorise, her songs have the honesty of country, the lilt of folk, a touch of pop and suggests early-life exposure to somebodys really good record collection.
