MM9 first brought their brand of hard-edged electro-rock to the stages of their hometown
of Sydney, Australia in early 2003, and created a groundswell of support that has firmly
established them as one of Australias premier touring acts.
Equally at home playing traditional rock venues, mainstream music festivals, dance clubs,
or massive underground rave parties; MM9 is a band whose versatility is matched only by
the sheer potency of their stage presence.
After strong sales of their debut, Self-Titled EP in 2004 (distributed by Shock Records)
and their 2006 follow-up Prosthetic Boulevard (distributed by Creative Vibes), late 2007
saw the band taken on board by New World Artists (Silverchair, The Living End, Sneaky
Sound System) as part of their exclusive live representation roster. While maintaining a
tireless schedule of touring throughout 2008, MM9 - now in partnership with Sydney-based
independent label Red Recordings - have been busy writing and recording new material for
their first full length album.
Scheduled for release in 2009 its an ambitious project, one that further refines their
pulsing, electro-rock sound and melds it with solid pop sensibilities.
Constantly looking forward, constantly evolving, MM9 are a band to listen to, witness,
and lose yourself in.
Its a funny thing, with a one track mind its hard to get anywhere... similarly, having too many things on you plate causes tummy aches... keep this in mind when listening to the upstarts from Sydney Australia. Modern Errors methods in writing has always incorporated catchy, hook filled elements that cause raised hands and smiles aplenty where ever they perform, melodic voyages that seem to sling you around the clouds, and a rhythmic element that does nothing but put your dancing shoes on. Recognizing these elements is something vital to all the members of Modern Error as all play an intricate part in directing the evolution when developing new songs.
Teamed with a live show flashing nothing but adrenalin and vigor and seemingly effortless vocal harmonies, its an event that the boys do with a smile time and time again.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We want to entertain, thats pretty much it! Rock out as much as we can, hope that people have an awesome time and leave with a smile on their face\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" Says Max, Bass player and backing vocals. An attitude that resonates amongst the rest of the group as well. With an emphasis on creating a solid live show and writing the kind of music that appeals to them and many others, Modern Error are creating something here in a genre that truly needs a swift kick up the ring.
