October 24th, 2009 - Louis King Liars Club blues festival

Louis King, one of Australias most dynamic live performers and distinctive songwriter hits the ground running with his new and 5th CD release That and a Quarter

Louis King (The Mr Hyde to Tommy McEwan) bounces back from his last adventure in Retro Land, 2007s Standing in The Sun with a new set of 10 original songs, which take the blues and roots formulas and turn them on their head and enough lyrical complexity to keep any pedantic lyric reader analysing for ever. October 23rd, 2009 - The Pigs blues festival

Loved by country, folk and
popular music audiences
alike, The Pigs combination
of music and comedy is
sensational!

The Pigs are a family of Hillbillies, who all sing and play super-charged acoustic instruments; with Par Pig
on double bass, T-Bone Pig on nylon string guitar, Streeetch Pig on Steel String guitar, Cousin Billy-Bob Pig
on stand-up drums and, Cousin Jebodiah on banjo and mandolin. The sound is a glorious genre-defying
blend of bluegrass, pop, rock, folk and just about everything else!

Par Pig and his boys claim to hail from the internet, though there are also theories that the family in fact
came down to Australia from somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains or even from a misguided
spaceship. Whatever their genesis, the band has been having one hell of a good time since arriving on the
east coast of Australia in 2005. Beginning with some wild and crazy shows in Sydneys pubs and
universities The Pigs soon found themselves playing the big festival stages. Audiences warm to their
combination of original songs like Buster the Bomb the story of a cluster bomb that had trouble making
friends – and outrageous down-home arrangements of pop classics like Britney Spears Baby One More
Time” and Bon Jovis Livin on a Prayer.
