Towards the end of 2007, at 19 & 21 Chris and Evan began writing and performing their own songs. With their exposure to open learning, combined with extensive travel with their dad across Australia, the two brothers developed a relatively wide perspective of the world. In July 2008, they attended a MMF meeting at Studio 301 and met Peter Blyton. Peter liked their style of creativity and offered his help to produce their songs.

The Cover Ups-Live Duo was first formed in 2004 with collaboration between David Taylor and Hayley summers. They met while both working on P&O cruises overseas and through their love of music came to together to create what is now the Cover ups. Their aim in the beginning was to only perform acoustic covers. Over time they realised that playing with backing music gave them not only a much bigger sound, but more freedom to perform a wider range of songs that would appeal to different audiences. Making their own backing tracks and using a blend of high quality midi sounds and live instruments gives the cover ups a sound that could lead you to believe they were a 4 piece band. They play a variety of cover songs ranging from top 40 music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today. With Hayley on vocals and Dave on Guitar, bass and occasionally bringing out a ukulele, the quality duo are sure to entertain.
In 1988, 1927 was truly an Australian music phenomenon, selling more than 500,000 copies of their debut album, ...ish. Garry Frost, guitarist and keyboardist, had left Moving Pictures in 1984, after their second album, and was writing songs at his Sydney home studio in late 1986.He was watching the Nine Networks variety programme Hey Hey Its Saturdays talent segment Red Faces when Erik Weideman appeared and performed a cover of Polices Roxanne.Garry Frost drove to Melbourne, about 880 km to recruit Weideman on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards. The band became one of the most recognizable acts of its era and released several albums and further hit singles in a career that spanned 6 years.

Turnpage are a three piece rock band from Sydney. Their music boasts the versatility of Goliath-like riffs and moody ballads. Mix that in with a unique melody and songwriting style and Turnpage are a band truly of their own. The band has been building a steady fan base since 2006, and has recently released their debut EP, The Riverbed Cinematic. The guys are ready to set a platform by which they will take the Indie music scene by storm this year. The group found its origins from the ashes of a previous band which Jimmy (Lead Vocals, Guitar), and Allan (Backing Vocals, Bass) were in. Having met Andre (Drums) through a mutual friend, they wasted no time in getting to work. The chemistry was immediate, and i think we all feel we are part of something special that we are prepared to take all the way, explains Jimmy. Since forming, the band has been perpetually increasing in pace, having already played over 30 different venues across Sydney including Excelsior Surry Hills, Bar Broadway, and the Hopetoun. They have also had the honour of playing support for Grant Walmsely of The Screaming Jets at the Fitzroy Hotel, a venue which they are now the resident band in. This band has some of the most dedicated musicians i have worked with recently, says Russell of Damien Gerard Studios, who recorded the bands EP. They have a maturity of songwriting and work ethic that extends beyond their years, I had a lot of fun working with these guys. With a debut EP under their belts, there is no telling just how much this young band will achieve with their vibrant brand of rock. Watch this space!
