November 16th, 2008 - The Cover Ups

What began as an invitation to “come sit in for a few songs,” has grown into a literal marriage of individual musical styles – Classic Rock with a splash of Country and R&B. On June 6, 1997, founding member, Kevin Crum, invited Tammi Smith to join him in a few songs on stage during a solo gig. The experience sealed their fates, and from that moment Kevin realized that his dream of marrying either a singer or a chiropractor could indeed come true. The Cover-Ups were born, and the beat goes on!

November 7th, 2008 - Something with Numbers 18+

Hailing from the Central Coast of New South Wales, Something with Numbers formed when friends Jake Grigg, Lachlan Scott and Tim Crocker began playing together in high school. In late 2001, bassist Scott Chapman and drummer Dave McBeath were recruited to complete the band current line-up. The bands moniker came when the suggestion their name should involve something with numberS was taken extremely literally.
Their formative sound was loosely emo punk. A six-track EP, Barnicles and Stripes, was recorded over eight months and released by Below Par Records in September 2002. The EP landed in the right places, most notably in the hands of a member of Good Charlotte, who had Something with Numbers open for their 2003 Australian tour. The support slots and CD sales kept on ticking over, culminating in the band playing the 2003 Livid Festival a year after their debut release.
