Lizard CD Launch with the double D boys
After several years in the making,local funk rock band Lizard have finally completed their first full length album(think rage against the machine meets the chilli peppers in an alley called jimi hendrix).Hailing from the Hawkesbury,the 3 peice was formed in the late 90s by bassist Jason Dowse and singer guitarist Matt Charnley.After new haircuts,fresh grooves & various lineup changes the band expanded its sound with 2nd guitarist Rob Chapple (ex N.R.N.R.) and hit the studio in april to begin working on what would become iforbuttadideye They will be launching the new album this Saturday the 27th of September @ the Fitzroy Hotel in Windsor and Tuesday the 30th @ the Annandale Hotel with special guest Matt Reynolds on drums.Free entry
What began as an invitation to “come sit in for a few songs,” has grown into a literal marriage of individual musical styles – Classic Rock with a splash of Country and R&B. On June 6, 1997, founding member, Kevin Crum, invited Tammi Smith to join him in a few songs on stage during a solo gig. The experience sealed their fates, and from that moment Kevin realized that his dream of marrying either a singer or a chiropractor could indeed come true. The Cover-Ups were born, and the beat goes on!
Turnpage are a four peice rock band from Sydney. Their music boasts the versatility of Goliath-like riffs and moody ballads. Mix that in with a unique melody and songwriting style and Turnpage are a band truly of their own. The band has been building a steady fan base since 2006, and is currently putting the final touches on their eagerly anticipated debut EP,The Riverbed Cinematic. followed closely by a launch night to be announced. The guys are ready to set a platform by which they will take the Indie music scene by storm this year.
Alex was born in Sydney Australia. He began his professional music career many moons ago playing guitar and singing both solo and duo covers acts in pubs, clubs through out Australia.
Shortly after some life changing tragedys a solo album titled Beautiful things was born and raised in Sydney. The album was recorded and produced by Martin Park and Glen Langford (Lonedog Productions) at Beatzart Studios in Sydney Australia.

Celebrating 150 years in 2008
2008 marks the 150th anniversary of our family’s arrival in Pokolbin to commence its future in the Australian wine industry. 150 years of one family with a constant base and industry in which it operates is a rarity in the country.
We Tyrrells have been on our vineyard for two thirds of Australia’s modern history. The motto of ‘nothing is great unless it is good’ came with my great grandfather from England and has been a guiding beacon for the family through the 150 years. It has been and will be the basis of all we do.
We have passed many milestones along the way, with the past 50 years contributing the most. The introduction of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to the modern Australian industry, our expansion outside our beloved Hunter Valley to McLaren Vale, Limestone Coast and Heathcote, and the championing of the Semillon variety from the Hunter are, to me, the outstanding achivements.
The story of four down to earth blokes born and raised on the outskirts of western Sydney and all shared a common passion HARD ROCK. Their main aim was to capture that eighties pub rock scene that seemed to be lost to a new generation. Being heavily influenced by the all time Aussie greats set out to put on a show that people could take a away and remember. Coving everything from ACDC, Stevie Wright, Aussie Crawl and Rose Tattoo just to name a few.
Over the past 12 years the Underdogs have played hundreds of live performances in RSLs to major hotels around NSW with nothing but praise and applause.
Katie was born in Mona Vale Hospital and grew up in Hornsby Heights. She has always sung since she was little, putting on shows for her family with her sister and other family members. Katie grew up listening and singing to Whitney Houston and Barbara Streisand and always marvelled at their power and range. She sang in the school choir and local amateur musical theatre.
