Illusion of despair
Carthartic , Mercurial , Innovative describes the music of ILLUSION OF DESPAIR . Their unique sound and dynamic on stage presence has set them up as one of Central Coast stand outs , Playing shows throughout QLD , NSW ,ACT ,VIC . The past 3 years has seen some line up changes which has created a highly motivated and tight knit 5 piece . Illusion of despair have shared the stage with some of Australia’s best bands and up coming acts.
With their debut EP – REFLECTIONS – that has just been released Australian wide in all music stores they set out to demolish the global music scene with their exceptional rare sound.
IN OUR OVER STIMULATED MASS-MEDIA INSPIRED CULTURE THE ONLY REMEDY IS TO GO FURTHER INTO THE RED...Red Remedy are currently in the mixing stages of their debut release after spending 2009 furiously writing, demoing and honing their live show all over NSW. The resulting songs were committed to tape in early 2010 by Lamar Lowder (Jerk, Powerman 5000, Yothu Yindi) on vintage analogue equipment in Sydney’s Megaphon Studios where the likes of The Cruel Sea, Midnight Oil, Silverchair, Front End Loader, You am I have laid down tracks in the past.
Set for a release in mid 2010 Red Remedy’s self titled debut EP is the soundtrack to the making of a memorable hangover.

Amberdeen are an accoustic indie rock punk band out of sydney with the mix of both accoustic and electric guitars teamed with strong vocal harmonies, they have been compared to anti flg, hot hot heat and kisschasy (killyourstereo.com). Amberdeen have supported the likes of something with numbers, behind crimson eyes and another day down. They released their debut ep in october 2006 titled not forgotten freedom and the first track stay where u are was instantly added to Fbi radio (94.5), the track has gained airplay on triple js short, fast, loud and other community stations. The track was chosen as a hottest pick in the uncharted competition and to feature on the perisher blue first tracks compilation
Born in Narrabri and raised in Moree in country New South Wales, Drew McAlister grew up listening to Bryan Adams, Noiseworks and Slim Dusty and started singing at age 7. One of four children, after finishing school at the age of 18, Drew decided to take his music ability seriously and left the country for the dazzling lights of Sydney. He immediately picked up session work for major brand television and radio jingles. During the next few of years, Drew continued to write his songs, performed in many different bands and appeared on The Midday Show and Hey Hey Its Saturday numerous times. Drew then toured Australia with the production of Jesus Christ Superstar before eventually landing a recording deal with EMI
From the opening bars of the juggernaut that is their debut self titled EP, it is clear that Melbourne based progressive rock outfit Jericco possess a sound and wisdom that is both ancient and eclectic in its origins.
Comprising five seasoned and highly respected players, the act features Brent McCormicks distinctive vocal delivery of the bands haunting lyrics, Roy Amars wandering bass lines and mystical Oud (Egyptian Lute), Luke Halsteads Middle-Eastern inspired percussive grooves, Jordan Nagles wall-of-sound guitars and Fetah Sabawis sprinkling of programming and melodic keys. Sabawi joined the band on the back of his success with ARIA winning heavy weights Superheist.
Kaleeko formed in Western Sydney early 2006, heavily influenced by Australian artists such as Cog, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus and MM9, Kaleeko have performed at many popular music venues across Sydney and are continuing to deliver an explosive live performance to all audiences.
