Tempered Red provide an audience with a rock experience built upon a foundation of strong rhythms and grooves. The music is crafted to inspire movement, and the lyric to evoke thought and emotion. The 3 peice outfit including Paul Caltabiano on drums, Rhett Rhett Boland on bass, and Hayden Sterling on lead vocals and guitars, was formed in early 2009 with a vision of creating music to inspire and excite.
Overall. Tempered Red produce a distinctly relevant and contemporary sound that captures the essence of our social climate by exposing the raw tones of loud guitars and colorful bass. The complexity in rhythm, and melodic vocal quality reinforce and decorate this to complete what can only be described as a tempered sound for the modern world.
Imperial is a five piece band that have held the local pub scene hostage over the past two years. The band has been concocting a smooth cocktail of music with an after taste that wont let you forget. The blend of rockin funkalicious indie sounds mixed in with the Latin flavours of the bongos and a blues harp, remind you of every style that makes you dance.
Imperial sound like they have put Pearl Jam and Incubus in a blender and liquefied it, they sound like a young band on the verge of something new and exciting Drum media.
mperial started off in lead singer Matt Musumecis garage after he showed them an idea for the first song, which still to this date is yet to be completed. But with Sam Scopelliti on rhythm guitar and the duo of Frankie Iorfino and Jose Carrasco on bass and drums the band was almost fully formed. Then with the introduction of new lead guitarist Alex Tribbia, they were ready to take off.
They recorded their first five track EP in March 08, with this they gained support acts with Sydney rock bands Ooh La La (Bon Jovis Support act), and The Amanda Baker Band. They started playing sold out shows at the Vanguard and shows at the Sandringham, The Annandale and numerous other venues across Sydney.
Now Imperial back in the studio recording their first twelve track album, are almost ready to hit the road on their first east coast tour. The band has recently gained sponsorship from the Costa Rican beer company Imperial beer.
So keep an ear out and your dancing shoes ready for the next time Imperial come around.
Armed with powerful innovative riffs, dizzying rhythmic aura, melodic breakdowns and distinctive vocals, Patient Mile are all about redefining.
Unofficially formed in mid 2006 as a 3-piece, the trio spent almost a year writing together without a vocalist until mid 2007, when original drummer Troy took on vocal duties. Once Drews brother Matt joined, the lineup was complete and Patient Mile was born.
Patient Mile played their first shows in competitions around Sydney and their local Fairfield/Liverpool area with high regard, defining their sound whilst developing their live shows. Since then, the band has played venues all around Sydney establishing a growing fanbase and a sound reputation as an emerging act in the prog-rock scene.
Their mutual influences include Karnivool, Tool, The Butterfly Effect, Cog, Dead Letter Circus and 10 Years, while each member brings their own influences and experiences to the palette when song writing. The band experiments with a fusion of foreign and unconventional styles and sounds which creates their unique, dynamic and deep interpretation of modern progressive rock.
Set to record their debut EP this year with a new lineup and a mature, more indepth collection of tracks, Patient Mile are set to make an impact in 2010.
MM9 first brought their brand of hard-edged electro-rock to the stages of their hometown
of Sydney, Australia in early 2003, and created a groundswell of support that has firmly
established them as one of Australias premier touring acts.
Equally at home playing traditional rock venues, mainstream music festivals, dance clubs,
or massive underground rave parties; MM9 is a band whose versatility is matched only by
the sheer potency of their stage presence.
After strong sales of their debut, Self-Titled EP in 2004 (distributed by Shock Records)
and their 2006 follow-up Prosthetic Boulevard (distributed by Creative Vibes), late 2007
saw the band taken on board by New World Artists (Silverchair, The Living End, Sneaky
Sound System) as part of their exclusive live representation roster. While maintaining a
tireless schedule of touring throughout 2008, MM9 - now in partnership with Sydney-based
independent label Red Recordings - have been busy writing and recording new material for
their first full length album.
Scheduled for release in 2009 its an ambitious project, one that further refines their
pulsing, electro-rock sound and melds it with solid pop sensibilities.
Constantly looking forward, constantly evolving, MM9 are a band to listen to, witness,
and lose yourself in.
